SM Zilani, the BNP-nominated candidate for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election from Gopalganj-03 (Kotalipara-Tungipara) constituency and President of the Central Committee of the Volunteer Party, said this today, Sunday, at noon, addressing leaders, activists, and the general public at a campaign meeting held at Majhbari Bus Stand in Hiran Union, Kotalipara.

He further stated that due to his involvement in opposition politics, the previous government repeatedly imprisoned him and subjected him to electric shocks, yet he did not succumb to corruption. Earlier in the morning, he began his election campaign by traveling from Tungipara with party workers to Gopalpur Islamia Madrasa, where he received prayers from Maulana Kabirul Islam.

Later, he addressed campaign meetings in various areas of the upazila, including Kathigram Mor, Hiran High School, Kushla Madrasa, Radhaganj, Bandhabari, and Sadullapur, seeking votes and prayers from the general public for the upcoming parliamentary election under the “Paddy Sheaf” symbol.
