The Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has announced its candidates for the upcoming Rangpur Sadar Upazila Parishad elections for the posts of Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Woman Vice Chairman. On behalf of the party, Mr. Abdul Gani, member of the Shura and Executive Council of the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Rangpur District Branch and Acting Principal of Pakuria Sharif Degree College, has received the nomination for the Chairman post. Former Upazila Vice Chairman Mr. Shahinur Alam Shawon has been nominated for the Vice Chairman post, and Ms. Tunazzina Begum has been nominated for the Woman Vice Chairman post.

At an organizational meeting of Rangpur Sadar Upazila, Maulana Enamul Haque, Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Rangpur District, officially announced the names of these candidates. Leaders from the Upazila and Union levels were present at the meeting. After the announcement, the candidates sought the prayers and support of the party’s leaders and activists.
