A discussion and opinion-sharing meeting was held in Mirpur Upazila and Municipality by the Workers’ Party, Kushtia, demanding the implementation of the 31-point agenda announced by BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman for state structure reform and the restoration of democracy. The program took place yesterday, Saturday, 15 November, in the field of Mirpur Women’s Degree College.

The chief guest at the assembly was Mirpur’s distinguished son, Barister Ragib Rauf Chowdhury, member of the National Executive Committee and the BNP-nominated candidate for the Mirpur-Vheramara constituency under the “Paddy Sheaf” symbol. The inauguration was conducted by Kh. M. Mokhlesur Rahman, President of the District Workers’ Party. The main speaker was Mizanur Rahman Ranju, General Secretary of the District Workers’ Party.

Special guests included Muzam Malitha, General Secretary of Mirpur Upazila Workers’ Party; Reza Alam Khan Alamin, Convener of Mirpur Municipality Workers’ Party; Rabiul Islam Tutul, Organizational Secretary of Mirpur Upazila Workers’ Party; and Jamirul Islam, Joint General Secretary of Mirpur Upazila Workers’ Party. The assembly was presided over by Sazzad Hossain Dinar, Secretary of Mirpur Municipality Workers’ Party.
