BRDB concludes 9-day “Cow fattening” training at Lalmonirhat

A nine-day training on "cow fattening" has been completed with the aim of enhancing the skills of the beneficiary members of the "Rural Livelihood Project-3rd Stage" (PAJIP-3) implemented by the Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB). The completion of this training was announced today with a grand closing ceremony at Lalmonirhat Jubo Bhavan Auditorium. Md. Alauddin Sarkar, Project Director (Joint Secretary) of PAJIP-3 Project was present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the training.He told the trainees, "The government is working to improve the fortunes of people in rural areas. By using the knowledge gained through this training, you will be able to establish yourself as ideal farmers and successful entrepreneurs in your respective areas." Deputy Director of Lalmonirhat Youth Development Department, Md. Abdus Salam Shikder, was present as a special guest on the occasion. Md Badruddoja, Chief Assistant cum Accountant of Youth Training Center gave welcome speech at the beginning of the program.Lalmonirhat Youth Training Center Coordinator Md. Murshedul Karim presided over the closing ceremony. Lalmonirhat BRDB District Information Officer Mosa Nurela Arjuman supervised the entire event. BRDB sources said that this special training course was organized with the aim of bringing dynamism to the rural economy and creating employment at the local level. The nine-day long course imparted theoretical and practical knowledge on modern methods of cattle fattening, feed management and disease prevention. At the end of the program, certificates and money were distributed among the trainees. During this time, other officials of Directorate of Youth Development and BRDB were present.
